Until The Flood
ACT
700 Union St. Seattle
In an era of political unrest and uprisings, Until the Flood is a startlingly powerful play. The latest work by award-winning playwright, performer and Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith focuses on the social unrest following the fatal police shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Focusing on eight composite characters from the St. Louis region, the play examines the issues of race and social activism from a variety of perspectives. Even-keeled and balanced in its approach to the nation's festering problem of 400-year-old race relations, this 70-minute one-woman show is certain to generate conversations about who we've been, who we are and who we will become. See Until the Flood at Seattle's Allen Theatre at ACT.
