The Best Laid Plans
Phoenix Theatre
9673 Firdale Ave. Edmonds
Ada Westbrook, an elderly Ian Fleming-type author (Fleming wrote the James Bond series), is enjoying her Caribbean vacation when she's asked to act as a liaison between our government and enemy powers. But when the spy she's hosting dies in her house, everybody tries to hide the secret plans hidden on his body for themselves. Then, when the dead spy's twin brother shows up things get even more complicated. Who's really dead? And exactly who is behind it all? The Best Laid Plans, written by celebrated author Fred Carmichael in 1966, tries to answer these questions in a production that's filled with comedy, satire and farce.
