Diagnosed with Hyperempathy, Ashley struggles to hold a job and maintain healthy relationships in a fast-paced, over-connected world. That is, until she discovers Neuroclear, an experimental procedure that promises to cure her Hyperempathy by stabilizing her response to emotional stimulants. This will allow Ashley to formulate a new, better version of herself -- but not without putting her humanity at risk.
