The Greek myth of Orpheus gets a modern update in the pop-rock musical Jasper in Deadland from The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle. This electrifying new musical takes you on a journey through the underworld as teenager Jasper has to face gods and monsters to save his best friend (and true love), Agnes. The result is a stirring celebration of life in the spirit of Rent and Spring Awakening. Starring as Jasper is Broadway actor Matt Doyle, who appeared in the Tony-winning production of Spring Awakening, War Horse and The Book of Mormon.
