An Evening of One Acts
ACT
700 Union St. Seattle
A production of just one play written by either Steve Martin, Woody Allen or Sam Shepard is a production worth seeing -- but all three at once is a rare opportunity not to be missed. So it goes at A Contemporary Theatre's An Evening of One Acts, featuring magic, wonder and even a little science-fiction in Martin's Patter for a Floating Lady, Allen's Riverside Drive and Shepard's The Unseen Hand. Patter finds a lovesick magician pursuing romance with his aloof assistant while Riverside portrays a confrontation between a screenwriter and the paranoid vagrant who believes he stole his idea. Finally, The Unseen Hand brings the sci-fi via a strange western hodgepodge of loners, outlaw and aliens.
