Closer follows the complicated romantic escapades of four flawed individuals living in London. A writer, a photographer, an enigmatic young woman and a dermatologist get caught up in an unusual set of cross-relationships that move across blind dates, internet chat rooms and high-end strip clubs. Patrick Marber's darkly funny play about love, lust, relationships and jealousy won the Olivier Award for Best Play in England and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play in 1999. It was later adapted into an Oscar-nominated film starring Julia Roberts and Natalie Portman, and now you can get entangled in the steamy web of lies and lust on stage at SecondStory Repertory in Redmond.
