World's Fair
Jet City Improv
5510 University Way NE Seattle
Fans of Erik Larson's best-seller The Devil in the White City may have to wait a few years for a big screen adaptation, but in the meantime, you can catch World's Fair, a fully improvised play inspired by the story of America's first serial killer, H.H. Holmes. Stalking the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago, Holmes lured his victims to his elaborately constructed "murder castle." Every performance will be unique as the actors take suggestions from the audience that will shape everything from the fair's signature technology and symbolism to the killer's background and modus operandi. Although Jet City Improv is primarily known for comedy, this show is a thriller tinged with darkly comic elements.
