  Don Giovanni at McCaw Hall

Don Giovanni

McCaw Hall
321 Mercer Street Seattle

Man, myth or monster? Mozart's Don Giovanni presents a multifaceted portrait of an unrepentant Casanova that has fascinated audiences since its 1787 premiere. This grand tragi-comedy, performed here by the Seattle Opera, tells the story of a legendary seducer who is given one last chance to repent his philandering ways. But when he adds murder and blasphemy to his lengthy list of sins, human and supernatural forces combine to enact a terrible punishment and avenge the thousands of scorned women Don Giovanni has left in his wake. To this day Don Giovanni endures as opera's ultimate cautionary tale about the human cost of unbridled lust. Featuring evocative music, a dynamic set of distinctively drawn characters and a shocking, unforgettable finale, Don Giovanni stands apart as Mozart's boldest masterpiece. The Halloween show also includes the chance to attend a party on the McCaw Hall Stage -- the first ever post-show party open to members of the public. Please see the full event description for more information about the party.
