In one of Seattle Radio Theater's most popular holiday shows, Miracle on 34th Street is presented as a live radio production in a throwback to the radio dramas of the 1940s -- complete with live sound effects by audio artist Curtis Takahashi. When a kindly Macy's department store Santa is institutionalized for claiming to be the real thing, a lawyer and a little girl try to free him by convincing the court that he is the real Santa Claus. This tale of belief, family and holiday spirit will be broadcast live on KIRO-FM. Show up early to the Great Hall at Town Hall Seattle for a pre-show audience warm up session, and be sure to stick around after for a special holiday reception.
