Boy meets girl, plant eats flesh -- Little Shop of Horrors is the hilariously demented story of Seymour, a shy worker at a struggling florist; Audrey, the object of his affection; and Audrey II, a flesh-and-blood eating plant. A venus flytrap that mysteriously appeared in the shop doesn't thrive until Seymour pricks his finger and realizes it requires blood to grow. Crowds flock to see the plant and business booms, but there's a human-sized price to pay. Set to doo-wop and Motown-style songs like "Suddenly, Seymour," this long-running Broadway musical is bloody good fun and perfect for a campy date night. The delightfully dark comedy comes to Redmond's SecondStory Repertory just in time for Halloween.
