James and the Giant Peach
Tacoma Musical Playhouse
7116 Sixth Avenue Tacoma
The enduring work of Roald Dahl comes to life when the Tacoma Musical Playhouse presents their staging of the whimsical fantasy book James and the Giant Peach. The story follows a young British orphan named James, who's living with his cruel aunts, Spiker and Sponge near the White Cliffs of Dover. One day, he embarks on a transatlantic trip in a massive magical peach. A zany ensemble of insect companions travel alongside him, and soon they're finding themselves in one whacky misadventure after another. The cast is filled with gifted and nimble actors that bring their fanciful characters to life via song and dance. There's plenty for the whole family to enjoy in this entertaining one-act performance.
